Backblaze does not support backing up a network drive, network share, or network-attached storage (NAS) device using Backblaze Computer Backup due to potentially high operating costs. However, you can use the Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage service to back up NAS devices offsite.
You can back up a number of NAS devices directly to Backblaze B2 using native apps, such as Synology, QNAP, and TrueNAS.
- Synology NAS devices can sync their data to Backblaze B2 using Synology Cloud Sync.
- Similarly, QNAP supports backing up and syncing to Backblaze B2 using QNAP Hybrid Backup Sync 3.
