Version 9.0 of the Backblaze Computer Backup application has a built-in restore application that lets you download files directly to Macs that run macOS 11 Big Sur and newer, or PCs running Windows 7 and newer.
Use the Backblaze Computer Backup Restore App
- Open the Backblaze application, and click Restore Options.
- In the dialog box, select Restore App.
- Enter the email address that is associated with your Backblaze account, and click Next.
- In the Computer dropdown menu, select the computer that contains the files that you want to restore.
- To set the time period that you want to restore from, click Set and adjust the date and time as desired.
- To set the location to which your files are restored, click Change and select one of the following options:
- Custom Folder If you select Custom Folder, select the folder that you want to restore your files to and click Choose Folder.
- Same location and Skip Identical Files
- Same location and overwrite identical files.
- Select the files and folders that you want to restore, and click Restore.
The Restore Progress dialog box displays the progress of your restore. After the restore is complete, it is downloaded to the location on your computer that you specified earlier.
