I came to Backblaze after Crashplan ditched the consumer market in favor of more profitable corporate market, which shareholders will demand of a public company. I hope in your corporate strategy you find a way to still offer the simple almost ‘set-and-forget’ experience at an affordable cost, or you will likely lose the customers that you built the company for. I wonder how this will work out as Backblaze chases the larger, more lucrative corporate contracts.

With all the platitudes of keeping it real, I doubt a CEO fixated on quarterly earnings will give a toss about the guy who pays 70 bucks a year for backup.

Never seen a listing that benefitted me as a customer. I’m the quest for profits, we will just be reduced to a source of income for the shareholder. You’ll have to come up with some very very solid promises to us long time users “on how you will be the same, but better”, or I will be looking for other options for sure.
