In short, is there any reason that an external drive being used in part for backup, should not be used for regular file location/storage purposes. Is dual-use ok?

Hi, and thanks for your response.

Yes. I’m a Backblaze customer, so my computer is being backed up there 24/7.

I’m also backing up my workaday files via Windows 10 File History Backup to the SSD I mentioned above. But there’s a lot of unused room on that SSD.

Are you backing up your workday files with another source? If not, we recommend backing up that data in the cloud to protect it if anything were to happen.
