Here is another advice. Besides doing everything that had been advised, if a cloud provider, like AWS, ask you to give a CC to access the free or student tiers. You should get yourself a prepaid debit card (put a few dollars in it) and use it to register. In a prepaid debit card the cloud provider can only charge whatever you have transferred (prepaid) to the card. For example, if you put $10 into the card the max amount they will be able to charge are those 10 bucks, that should give you more leverage when disputing the charges. When negotiating it is always better to have the money on your side.
