Ah! Glad you think so. Happy to change that to “can’t compete on total cost of ownership” to be more clear. CloudFront may quote lower service rates in specific instances, but the overall cost, including the complexities around getting started, being locked in to the AWS ecosystem, the cost of other AWS services, egress fees, etc., all contribute to the TCO.

Hey Niccolò – This post isn’t sponsored, but we may have given a bit more ink to Fastly than AWS. It looks like you picked up on that. I will admit to being biased towards independent brands like Fastly that challenge “The Big Three” cloud providers – AWS doesn’t exactly need free advertising after all. That said, if you find anything specific that’s inaccurate, I’m happy to correct it.
