No, the meaningful information is hidden.

I realize that the 12.4% AFR is to be taken with a grain of salt, as Andy explained the numbers as an anomaly of the small number of drives in operation too few months. Given data was discontinued in posts sometime in 2021, and it has been now two years since they entered service, an update would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please elaborate on their status, performance, failure rates, numbers, etc?

All of those drives have 5 year warranty so I’m guessing Backblaze just goes for the cheapest.

Reading this as part of my research for a new HDD. With WD so much higher in reliability, why does Backblaze purchase so many more Seagate drives in the 14TB and 16TB classes? Is it availability?

if backblaze had 1000 4tb drives, how many of them were produced on or around the same date and how is the failure rate there?

honestly, do lots even matter anymore?

In the first table, Backblaze Hard Drives Lifetime Annualized Failure Rates

Raw 13, model Seagate ST12000NM0007 12TB

How could 1,288 drives serve 35,823,850 days?

35,823,850/1,288/365 = 76.2 years? Were 12TB HDDs available in 1946?
