It would be awesome if they allowed users to install a cache on a local server (PC, NAS, etc) that would allow them to re-watch content, rewind, etc without redownloading (I know someone who plays one movie and a handful of TV episodes OVER and OVER for their kids who could have benefited from a local cache). Even better, users should be able to select movies and TV that they plan on watching and have them predownload. Of course, DRM would be legally required, but these Open Connect Appliances are only the start of decentralization that is necessary.

I don’t have Netflix for ONE reason, my ISP only gives me a 10/1 connection (10Mbps/1.25MB/s downloads with bursts up to 12Mbps/1.5MB/s when torrenting) (1Mbps/128KB/s up).
